Critical Recurring GovCon Deadlines and Compliance Requirements Webinar

This event qualifies for 1 CPEs

Overview

This FREE webinar will offer attendees an overview of the recurring compliance requirements government contractors must address each year to maintain audit readiness, protect cost recovery, and support operational alignment. The session will cover key areas such as FAR 52.216-7 billing and rate requirements, policy and procedure updates, internal reviews, annual training obligations, SAM registration, cybersecurity compliance, Independent Research and Development cost allowability, Cost Accounting Standards considerations, and contractual requirements. Participants will gain insight into how these obligations intersect across accounting, contracts, HR, and IT functions, and how repeatable processes support regulatory expectations and audit readiness. By the end of the webinar, attendees will better understand how to align processes, documentation, and training to support compliant, efficient, and defensible government contracting operations.

Learning Objectives

At the completion of this one-hour webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Identify recurring compliance obligations under FAR 52.216-7, including billing rates, indirect rate proposals, and closeout requirements that affect audit readiness.
  • Apply best practices for updating policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes, business growth, and evolving FAR and DFARS requirements.
  • Evaluate how internal reviews strengthen compliance and system integrity across purchasing, travel, property, estimating, and accounting functions.
  • Demonstrate how annual training supports compliance across accounting, purchasing, ethics, whistleblower, privacy, cybersecurity, and labor law requirements.
  • Recognize the operational and contractual risks associated with lapses in System for Award Management registration, renewal timing, and service contract reporting.
  • Identify Small Business subcontracting reporting obligations, including Individual Subcontract Reports and Summary Subcontract Reports, with an emphasis on annual and interim due dates.
  • Understand cybersecurity obligations under DFARS 252.204-7012 and 252.204-7021, NIST SP 800-171, and CMMC, including assessment, reporting, and subcontractor flow-down requirements.
  • Apply compliance requirements for Independent Research and Development costs, including documentation standards and executive determinations affecting cost allowability.
  • Assess the impact of planned accounting changes on Cost Accounting Standards compliance, including disclosure statement requirements and limitations on government cost recovery.
  • Strengthen contract management practices by identifying clauses that affect billing, funding limitations, fee structures, and reporting responsibilities.
