Navigating Private Capital for the Defense Industrial Base

This two-day course provides defense industry executives, practitioners, and government acquisition professionals with a practical understanding of how private capital intersects with government strategy and acquisition. Participants will explore the fundamentals of defense finance, government investment priorities, and the evolving landscape of private capital – including venture capital, private equity, and lending.

Day one will provide participants with a strong foundation of key financial concepts, as well as an awareness of dynamics in the Pentagon's policy environment. Day two will provide deep dives into specific private capital markets, examining how companies can access and navigate various funding sources to support growth and innovation. Instructors will include policy leaders, legal experts, investment professionals and acquisition professionals.
