From Listening to Action: Preparing for What's Next in FEVS

OPM has proposed decentralizing the Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, handing agencies ownership of survey design, timing, and content, with a smaller shared set of core questions to keep governmentwide trends visible, and a new 90-day window to report results to OPM and OMB.

This is a real shift, and one worth getting ahead of. The stakes go beyond morale: When federal employees are heard and see their feedback lead to real change, that improvement shows up downstream too, in shorter customer wait times, fewer processing errors, and a better experience for the people who depend on agencies for critical services.

The rule is still proposed, not final, but there’s no reason to wait to get ready. Join Qualtrics and Dr. Sydney Heimbrock, Qualtrics Chief Industry Advisor for Government, along with partner Federal Management Partners (FMP) to talk through what to prioritize for the 2026 cycle. FMP will bring lessons learned from helping agencies design, administer, and act on employee surveys, including bringing programs in-house.
