Solar & Energy Storage Summit 2026

Apr 29-30, 2026

Broomfield, CO

Wood Mackenzie

Wood Mackenzie’s 19th annual Solar & Energy Storage Summit returns to Denver from April 29-30, 2026, bringing together over 450 senior leaders from US solar and storage developers, utilities, IPPs, C&I offtakers, and state and federal government.

The conference will feature keynote sessions focused on the biggest challenges and opportunities facing the solar and storage industries in the US before splitting into separate streams for more in-depth discussions. In 2026 we are launching a new third breakout stream focusing on grid infrastructure, looking at the opportunities for getting more out of distributed energy resources, digital technology for balancing the grid such as VPPs, and the need for further investment in grid infrastructure.

Agenda topics include:

  • The evolving energy mix: Evaluating intermittent renewables alongside firm generation such as gas, nuclear, geothermal and coal
  • Life after tax credits: Do renewables retain a competitive advantage despite less Federal support?
  • How can utilities and developers make the most of the load growth boom?
  • A looming affordability and reliability crisis? The impact of the energy transition and data center boom on customers
  • Navigating ongoing supply-chain challenges from tariffs to foreign entities of concern
  • Will permitting and interconnection delays put the brakes on renewables development?
  • How is the development landscape changing? M&A activity and new investment strategies
  • Energy storage business models – how to stack value on standalone, hybrid, and long duration storage assets
  • Getting creative to meet energy demand: From behind the meter solutions to VPPs
  • Winning hearts and minds on BESS safety

Jun 2-3, 2026

London, United Kingdom

Join us at the fourth annual Wood Mackenzie Gas, LNG & The Future of Energy Conference in the City of London from 2-3 June 2026 for the latest expert insight on the most pertinent topics connected to geopolitical risk, energy security, infrastructure investment and project development, including:

  • Ongoing geopolitical risk and impacts from reduced Russian pipeline supply, sanctions, as well as how trade tensions are reshaping LNG flows, contract structures, and forcing buyers to prioritise supply security over cost.
  • Pricing volatility driven by supply/demand mismatches, shipping constraints, and feed gas cost escalations are pressuring both exporters and importers and also creating pressure on margins.
  • Delayed LNG and gas projects are creating supply tightness and preventing supply growth from matching demand, keeping markets vulnerable to weather and geopolitical shocks.
  • Critical gaps in infrastructure such as regasification terminals, pipeline capacity, and shipping logistics are creating bottlenecks that limit market responsiveness to demand surges.
  • Slowing demand growth in key Asian markets due to weaker economic conditions, renewable energy competition, and policy shifts is complicating long-term contract strategies and creating demand uncertainty.
