The IDGA Veterans Healthcare Summit returns for its 20th year on July 28–29, 2026 at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino Resort in National Harbor, MD, bringing together senior leaders from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Defense Health Agency (DHA), federal healthcare organizations, healthcare providers, industry, academia, and the non-profit community.
As digital health, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and interoperability move from strategy into enterprise-wide implementation, the summit will focus on how healthcare leaders are delivering measurable outcomes at scale across the veteran healthcare ecosystem.
The event will feature keynote presentations, panel discussions, case studies, and networking opportunities addressing the most pressing priorities shaping veteran healthcare delivery today, including AI-enabled care, digital transformation, cybersecurity resilience, interoperability, workforce readiness, patient access, and long-term health outcomes.
With more than 700 attendees expected and over 200 senior decision-makers already confirmed, including Chiefs of Services, Medical Directors, Associate Directors, and clinical and operational leaders from the VA, DHA, and leading federal healthcare providers and hospital systems, the summit serves as a premier platform for collaboration, innovation, and strategic alignment across the veterans healthcare community.

As threats grow more complex, the 2026 summit focuses on how technology and cross-agency collaboration can strengthen detection, enforcement, and trade facilitation, across ports of entry and beyond. Taking place this September in San Diego, the event will showcase the strategies, capabilities, and partnerships defining modern border operations.
What sets 2026 apart: Expanded international perspectives, deeper focus on countering transnational criminal networks, cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives across DHS border agencies, and insights into CBP operational priorities, and greater integration across air, land, and maritime domains.
