About GTRA Government Technology Research Alliance

The Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA) is a 501c(3) that provides government and Industry IT leaders a forum to collaborate, strategize and create innovative solutions for today's most pressing Government IT needs. The research used to drive curriculum for all GTRA initiatives is grounded in the knowledge gleaned from the GTRA Government Council, which consists of over 125 senior government executives from Civilian, Defense and Intelligence Community Agencies who specialize in areas including Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Infrastructure Modernization, Information Sharing, Social Media, Leadership, National Security, Health IT, Workforce Management and Sustainability.

Through the semi-annual GTRA Council Meetings, workshops, live demonstrations, monthly GOVTek Newsletter and the GTRA Members Portal, both public and private sector executives are able to share best practices and lessons learned resulting in actionable government-wide strategic plans. GTRA identifies cutting-edge technologies and solution providers to bridge the gap between strategy and the execution of government IT initiatives.

GTRA also provides federal agencies & industry partners with local Washington D.C. training forums tailored to meet their educational needs through focused hands-on workshops. GTRA's curriculum development team assists government leaders with their educational objectives, as well as provides annual required continuing education (CEUs).

HealthTech Council

HealthTech is a sister organization to the well known and widely respected Government Technology Research Alliance (GTRA), a 10,000+ member organization serving the government IT community by providing executive-level opportunities for collaboration and the exchange of best practices and lessons learned in areas such as information sharing, enterprise architecture, cyber security and infrastructure modernization. Through it’s close relationship with executives at the White House, Department of Health and Human Services, centers for Medicare and Medicaid, and the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, GTRA leadership quickly identified a need for targeted, focused dialogue to support the needs of the Health IT community. Using their experience and proven track in bringing together world class throught leaders, GTRA executives launched the HealthTech community in 2011, with the mission of providing high impact forums for executive level collaboration and information exchange on technology issues facing the Health Care community.

As a research-based organization, the content and curriculum of all HealthTech activities is derived from real-time research conducted with Health IT professionals from health care providers, industry, academia and the government. This approach ensures that HealthTech continually stays on the forefront of mandates, requirements, technologies and the business needs that are most important to the Health IT Community. Research findings are shared at the annual HealthTech HealthIT Council Meeting.
