Joint Critical Infrastructure Partnership (JCIP) Webinar: 9/22/15
This webinar series, coordinated by the DHS Office of Infrastructure Protection, is co-sponsored by InfraGard, private-industry-focused Regional Consortium Coordinating Council (RC3), and the State/Local, Tribal, Territorial Government Coordinating Council (SLTTGCC). Each hour-long Webinar session is designed to assist critical infrastructure owners and operators, physical security and information security professionals, Chief Information Officers, risk managers, business continuity planners, IT directors, human resource professionals, and local homeland security and emergency management staff in their efforts to enhance the preparation, security, and resilience of their facilities and assets.
9/22 Webinar Topic: Identification of Cyber Threats and Hazards.
Confirmed Speakers:
- Mary Ellen Seale, Deputy Director, Cybersecurity Coordination, DHS, responsible for collaboration and synchronization of operational activities between DoD and DHS; and national cybersecurity strategic planning. As senior executive, she led the establishment of the National Cybersecurity Center, developed operational processes and systems for the National Cybersecurity and Communication Integration Center, modernized the IT portfolio, Federal Communications Commission, and lead the Office of Science and Technology Program’s Transition to Practice focused on accelerating the transition of research into operations.
- Jane Ginn, Co-Founder at Cyber Threat Intelligence Network (CTIN). Ms. Ginn has over 25 years of international business experience in engineering consulting, information technology, and more recently cyber security threat intelligence. Her expertise includes network design using defense-in-depth principals, penetration testing, red team design and execution, cybersecurity exercise development, vendor product evaluation and ISAO member on-boarding, threat analysis and risk assessment. She serves on the OASIS Cyber Threat Intelligence - Technical Committee (CTI-TC) on STIX/TAXII/CybOX standards development and the European Network Information & Security Agency (ENISA) Threat Landscape Stakeholders Group.
- Robert (Bob) Timpany, Idaho Chief of Operations for the Industrial Control Systems Cyber Emergency Response Team (ICS-CERT), an operational division of the department’s National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC) and the DHS Office of Cybersecurity and Communications (CS&C). ICS-CERT works to reduce industrial control system risks within and across all critical infrastructure and key resource sectors by coordinating efforts among federal, state, local and tribal governments, as well as industrial control systems owners, operators and vendors. The ICS-CERT responds to and analyzes control systems related incidents, conducts vulnerability and malware analysis, and shares and coordinates vulnerability information and threat analysis through products and alerts. Bob has over 20 years of Cybersecurity experience. Before coming to the ICS-CERT, he was the ICS Cybersecurity Subject Matter expert for the control systems at Idaho National Laboratory.
