F5 Government Technology Symposium

This event qualifies for Yes CPEs

Federal Agencies are under ever increasing pressure to meet the Cloud First mandate and still maintain their security and regulatory compliance postures. Complicating matters even further, the 2017 Verizon Data breach report highlighted that 62% of the breaches involved application level hacking, and 81% of the hacking incidents involved weak or stolen passwords. This evolving combination of attack vectors makes cloud based applications a particularly easy target since these platforms are often used by app/dev teams to test on, while security is either an afterthought or default passwords are used.

In March of 2017, F5 labs discovered a targeted campaign primarily focused on cloud providers to find applications that were exposed by the Apache Struts vulnerability dubbed Zealot. This campaign leveraged Botnets to scan the largest cloud providers, find vulnerable applications, and launch a sophisticated multi-pronged attack.

View our on-demand webcast focused on helping our Government customers to understand and prepare for these types of attacks, by securing your cloud based applications and automating these security processes to further enable your migration to the cloud.
