NJLM Conference


This event qualifies for * CEUs


After careful deliberation, the NJLM Executive Board and Officers announce that the 105th Annual New Jersey State League of Municipalities Conference will be held as a Virtual Conference the week of November 16-20, 2020, providing League membership, exhibitors and other supporters of local government with an opportunity to engage with colleagues from around the State. 

 

The League’s leadership is confident that a Virtual Conference will best meet safety needs while providing delegates with opportunities for education, networking, and interaction with exhibitors. This decision was made thoughtfully, after polling our members and exhibitors and actively communicating with the Governor’s office, the Atlantic City Convention Center, and health experts. 


The League’s Annual Conference is the largest municipal conference in the country, providing continuing education for policymakers and local government professionals, vendor solutions, and product highlights as well as professional networking. It is with sincere regret that we must make this decision, but we look forward to returning to Atlantic City in 2021.  


The League will be releasing a schedule of events for the Virtual Conference in the coming weeks. League staff is working diligently on plans, implementing the transition, and committed to making this event a meaningful experience with timely and substantive programming for all attendees.  


While the program outline is being revised to take advantage of the new platform, we anticipate offering online/live sessions each day with lively chat interaction and Q&A with panelists and moderators. 


CONTINUING EDUCATION: Attendees will have access to sessions offering Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to help maintain professional credentials. Programs will also share critical information regarding managing the extraordinary demands on local governments during the pandemic and beyond.  


NETWORKING: The Virtual Conference will offer unique opportunities to interact and connect with others, a critical and invaluable part of the conference.  


EXHIBITS: Exhibitors will be available from virtual booths, providing education and interaction with attendees through chat, videos, and sharing of product and contact information.  


BOOKINGS & REGISTRATION: Attendees and exhibitors who have already booked hotel rooms and registered for the Conference will receive separate emails with details on the transition to virtual. Registration is currently open and will be redirected to the digital event. 


We appreciate everyone’s support during this time and will have additional information released as it becomes available on the League’s website. We will miss seeing all of you in person in Atlantic City but look forward to this new opportunity to gather and learn from one another.
