Securing Microsoft Teams: Four Tactics for U.S. Government Agencies

This event qualifies for 1 CPEs

What Government Agencies Need to be Aware of: With the uptick in Microsoft Teams usage, agencies need to protect the data that is being generated and shared without slowing down collaboration.

While different agencies may be subject to different regulations, nearly all data regulations state that sensitive data:

  • Needs to be retained for a specific period of time
  • Should only be accessed by the minimum number of people who need access

This webinar will cover four different tactics that use native and third-party tools to ensure sensitive data is retained and accessed appropriately, as well as guidance around how agencies can audit and prove their compliance. These tactics are:

  • Tactic 1: Create Team templates for Teams hosting sensitive information and monitor for configuration/membership drift
  • Tactic 2: Review, monitor, and audit permissions for sensitive data and documents
  • Tactic 3: Ensure adequate data protection and retention
  • Tactic 4: Review guest access and external sharing settings

Check out more information on these four tactics here
