Veritas offers NetBackup (backup solution) and Enterprise Vault (archive platform) that can help agencies conform to FIPS140-2, which addresses approved security functions for symmetric and asymmetric key encryption, message authentication, and hashing for hardware and software. The NetBackup Cryptographic Module is FIPS validated. NetBackup MSDP and VxOS (Veritas Operating System) use this module to enable the FIPS 140-2 standard.
