Federal agencies are threatened by increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks that target vital data and infrastructure. Phishing attacks have quadrupled since 2018, and session hijacking and insider threats can wreak havoc on an agency’s day-to-day operations.

Traditional cybersecurity approaches leave agencies open to zero-day attacks, which can bypass firewalls, allowing malware to operate without detection. Bad actors are increasingly using new malware to circumvent legacy cybersecurity systems, carrying out attacks on unsuspecting organizations long before the malware is identified and added to firewall software.
