Artificial Intelligence & emerging technologies in ensuring American leadership in Innovation

Speakers will provide an update on the digital transformation efforts of Trademarks and the role of emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence in ensuring American leadership in Innovation. USPTO has been adopting emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence to increase efficiencies and assist Trademark attorneys.  Intelligent Automation (IA) marries artificial intelligence—including natural language processing, machine learning, and machine vision—with automation. USPTO is using IA across its enterprise to automate low value tasks that allows civil servants to increase focus on higher value tasks.  They will also talk about the future of IA in federal agencies. This convergence of technologies produces automation capabilities that dramatically elevate quality and value for the agency. Finally, our program will discuss recent research from OCE on artificial intelligence in U.S. patents, where the research is headed, and how it may be leveraged to guide decisions.   ACT-IAC is excited to have our speakers share progress made in modernizing the organization’s technical capability in trademark examination.
