Combating Ransomware in the Public Sector
This event qualifies for 1 CPEs
In the last two years, public sector ransomware attacks have exploded in both frequency and sophistication. These attacks pose an urgent national security risk to all levels of government and to critical institutions like schools and hospitals. The Institute for Security + Technology’s Ransomware Task Force issued a report earlier this year that identified almost 2,400 ransomware attacks against public sector agencies and organizations.
There are two fronts in the battle against ransomware – taking the necessary preventive measures to protect data and systems, and being prepared for a rapid recovery should one occur. Resources such as the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency’s ransomware guidance provide assistance in addressing the threat.
Join us as thought leaders from government and industry discuss best practices for protecting both government agencies and the American public from the effects of ransomware.
