Quantum Advantage in Communications and Networking

Itzel is a quantum technology expert with over 10 years of experience in the quantum communication field. She holds a PhD in Quantum Physics from the University of Calgary, where her research focused on quantum cryptography. Itzel has implemented different quantum cryptography protocols in field conditions through the city of Calgary, has authored several academic papers, and has presented her work in international conferences on quantum communication and quantum cryptography. Itzel’s experience also includes working in quantum technology in commercial settings, both in Switzerland and Canada. Currently, Itzel is Head of Product at Quantized Technologies Inc. (QTi), a quantum communications start-up based in Calgary.

 

Jordan is a quantum physicist and a repeat founder. He holds a MSc-Physics, a BSc-Hon. Physics, and a BComm in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Calgary. Jordan’s background includes theoretical and experimental work in quantum neuroscience, quantum networking, and quantum cryptography. Jordan is dedicated to realizing QTi’s vision to create an interconnected world that provides quantum advantage for all, and he leads QTi’s mission to build a quantum internet and to secure today’s networks against quantum-enabled threats. Jordan is passionate about tackling society’s largest information, network, and security challenges, solving them at the smallest (i.e., quantum) scale.
