As the federal marketplace evolves, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) is taking bold steps to reduce duplication, drive efficiencies, and save taxpayer dollars. Executive Order 14240 directs agencies to eliminate waste and consolidate procurement of common goods and services under a “OneGov” approach.
Join Tom Meiron, Assistant Commissioner of GSA’s newly established Office of Centralized Acquisition Services (OCAS), for an in-depth fireside chat on how GSA is transforming acquisition practices to meet this mandate. Mr. Meiron will discuss the creation of OCAS as a cornerstone of GSA’s reform efforts, the agency’s strategy for centralizing procurement across government, and opportunities for industry partners to engage and add value.
This interactive session will explore:
- How GSA’s new centralized model streamlines acquisition of common goods and services
- The agency’s priorities in implementing E.O. 14240 and metrics for success
- Opportunities for vendors to support GSA’s mission and deliver cost savings
- Lessons learned from early pilots and what’s next for the new FAS organizational structure
This conversation offers a unique opportunity for the ACT-IAC community to hear directly from GSA leadership about the future of federal procurement and how public–private collaboration can help achieve greater savings and value for taxpayers.

Large-scale events require integrated security and emergency management to protect attendees and maintain critical services. This panel examines responsible drone use for surveillance and response at FIFA matches and EDM festivals. We will discuss strategies to safeguard event connectivity and resilient communications under strain. Experts will address mass-shooting risk mitigation, on-site medical and policing coordination, and lessons from recent incidents. Finally, we’ll explore how weather-aware technologies can be integrated into real-time safety decision-making.
- Drone operations and governance: best practices, privacy, airspace coordination, and emergency deployment at major events.
- Protecting connectivity: hardened networks, backup comms, and managing cellular load to ensure continuous situational awareness.
- Active-threat preparedness: detection, response protocols, multi-agency coordination, and attendee evacuation strategies for mass-shooting scenarios.
- Weather-informed tech integration : real-time forecasting, alerting systems, and infrastructure hardening to mitigate weather-related risks.

Government, industry and academia are actively using new or modifying existing digital technologies to assist with changes, improvements, and efficiencies in operation of the business processes, meet customer demands, utilize automation to reduce many manual work processes while improving productivity, and enable these tools to reach a wider audience by reducing geographic barriers. Digital Transformation can improve operational efficiencies, provide more agility and flexibility in day-to-day activities, enable opportunities to grow and expand, and provide new value, satisfaction, and benefit for not only the staff but also the customers and shareholders. Many have dubbed "Digital Transformation as Reimagining How we do Business”.
Digital Transformation needs strong leadership with a clear vision and the willing support of staff to make the needed transition. Another key element of Digital Transformation is understanding what technology is capable of doing and how an agency or organization can make the most use of that technology investment.
This Summit will focus on where Digital Transformation is today, how it has been used to transition to new innovative technologies, and how it has improved overall performance. This event will also include an international element to hear how other countries have utilized digital technologies successfully.
Join national leaders, innovators, and security experts for a dynamic summit exploring the evolving intersection of cybersecurity, advanced technologies, and public service. As threats grow more complex and missions become increasingly digital, this summit will spotlight how modern governments can adapt and thrive.
This high-impact event will bring together voices from across federal, state, and local agencies – as well as unconventional private-sector partners – to address the critical challenges and breakthrough solutions shaping the future of secure governance.
This summit is not just about defense – it's about reimagining the architecture of trust, identity, and technology in the modern era of governance.

The era of "admiring the problem" is over. In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, the true measure of innovation isn’t found in a strategic plan or a conceptual slide deck – it’s found in the successful delivery of mission-critical results.
