All federal users including contracting officers, program office officials, managers, and

executive staff are invited to participate in these complimentary webinars to learn how the VETS 2 GWAC can support their agency IT project initiatives. Warranted contracting officers must complete this training before requesting a Delegation of Procurement Authority (DPA), which will authorize them to issue orders against the VETS 2 GWAC. Participants will receive one Continuous Learning Point (CLP) for attending this training. This webinar is not open to contractors.

The Office of Centralized Acquisition Services (OCAS) provides a comprehensive training program focused on the Small and Large Project Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA). This session details the GSA’s centralized approach to acquiring office furniture and related ancillary services, designed to assist federal agencies in streamlining procurement processes and aligning acquisitions with mission objectives.

Training Content:

  • OCAS Mission and Vision: An overview of how OCAS serves as a procurement partner, utilizing an enterprise-wide approach to simplify common good and service acquisitions.
  • Small Projects BPA Analysis: Detailed guidance on managing furniture projects up to $1 million, including zonal breakdowns, vendor information, and ordering authority.
  • Large Projects BPA Analysis: Requirements and procedures for furniture projects exceeding $1 million, specifically detailing the roles of FAS Contracting Officers.
  • Procedural Insight: Step-by-step reviews of ordering workflows, timelines, and the advantages of utilizing pre-qualified awardees, such as increased efficiency and standardization.
  • Additional Resources: A summary of supplementary IDIQs and specific program BPAs, including support for the FBI, Navy, and Air Force.

This training assists agencies in understanding the benefits of consolidated procurement, including improved visibility, accountability, and the reduction of administrative burdens for contracting staff.
