Welcome to the 2026 TASSCC Annual Conference. This year our conference will celebrate the TASSCC community and encourage collaboration between our agencies and our industry partners.

The TASSCC Annual Conference is Texas’s premier event for state IT leaders, partnering to advance education and networking among professionals supporting information technology for Texas public sector and higher education.

Last year’s event welcomed over 850 attendees, including 350+ government sector employees.

The 52nd Annual TASSCC Conference celebrates the spirit of Texas IT innovation with the theme “Big Tex, Bigger Tech: The Future of Texas IT.” Bringing together technology leaders, public sector professionals, and industry experts, this conference will explore the emerging trends, transformative technologies, and forward-thinking strategies shaping the future of IT across Texas. Hosted in the home of the iconic Texas State Fair, attendees will gain valuable insights, build meaningful connections, and discover how innovation is driving smarter, more connected communities for years to come.

The Center for Public Sector AI (CPSAI) and the Center for Digital Government is excited to build on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Summit for state and local government! We are convening state and local government CIOs and AI Leaders along with our private sector partners. 

The explosion of artificial intelligence is transforming government operations. As government grapples with how to harness AI’s benefits while minimizing its risks, CIOs need to build trust across multiple stakeholders; navigate ethical, security and privacy concerns; upskill staff to deliver with new technologies; and change long-held processes and practices.

The Summit is an action-packed opportunity to engage with AI Leaders who are leading the way in leveraging AI as a strategic asset at the state, local, department, and agency levels. The goal of the Summit is to create a friendly and engaging environment to build and foster relationships with your peers and the private sector thought leaders.

AI adoption is moving faster than the controls meant to govern it, leaving IT leaders caught between the pressure to transform and the risk of losing visibility, reputation and control. Join Dave Shackleford, SANS Instructor, on November 4, 2026 at 10:30 AM EST where he will share survey data from practitioners across industries on what the transition from automation to genuine agency actually looks like in 2026.

Specifically, he will speak to how agentic threats are landing on the radar, the barriers stalling SOC autonomy, and how teams are weighing the tradeoffs of letting AI act independently in production environments. Beyond the technology questions, the data also dives into how organizations plan to reshape their teams as AI absorbs some of the work that currently fills an analyst's day.

Join us September 7 – 10 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina to connect with other public power professionals on the most pressing cybersecurity topics for the utility industry. Engage with peers and experts to discuss the unique challenges, best practices, and emerging trends in cybersecurity and IT infrastructure relevant to public power utilities and their communities.

The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) is looking forward to seeing you all at the 2026 Department of Defense Intelligence Information System (DoDIIS) Worldwide Conference in Tampa, FL!

For over 20 years, the DoDIIS Worldwide Conference has served as the premier information technology conference to hear from distinguished speakers, collaborate with trusted partners, and experience ground-breaking technical solutions to support the warfighter. The conference is an immersive in-person event designed to bring together leading subject matter experts, decision makers, and stakeholders to collaborate and partner. 

Conference participants will have exciting opportunities to share their experiences, network with government and industry leaders, and access the latest cutting-edge solutions from hundreds of onsite vendors. Each day includes a variety of keynote speeches from senior-level decision makers, an extensive selection of breakout sessions to engage with experts in smaller formats, and specialized presentations at the DIA booth. Between sessions, participants will have the opportunity to engage vendors in the exhibit hall and attend technical demonstrations and Lunch & Learn sessions.

TechNet Augusta 2026 gives participants the opportunity to examine and explore the intricacies of the cyber domain. With assistance from the U.S. Army Cyber Center of Excellence and industry experts, the conference is designed to open the lines of communication and facilitate networking, education and problem solving. Leaders and operators also discuss procurement challenges the military, government and industry face during a time of uncertain budgets and runaway technology advances.

The Department of the Air Force Information Technology and Cyberpower Training and Education Event (DAFITC) will take place in Montgomery, AL from August 24-26, 2026.

This year, thousands of Air Force peers, along with private sector leaders in the IT and cyber security field convened to network, discuss, connect, and learn about the newest and most prevailing threats to our global networks and national defense. DAFITC 2026 is expected to featured 140+ breakouts, an exhibit hall with over 200 vendor booths, and over 4,000 attendees, speakers, and exhibitors.

Attendees will hear from leading voices in the public and private sectors, hearing a range of ideas, opinions, and assessments of the current state of all things cyber as well as insights into what the keys to future success might look like.

TechNet Indo-Pacific is the largest strategic event of its kind in the Indo-Pacific Rim. USINDOPACOM works closely with partners to enable resilient, survivable and secure collaboration across the spectrum of contingencies. TechNet Indo-Pacific, now in its 41st year, features speakers and discussions, many qualifying for Continuing Education, on how industry, academia and government can address and solve regional challenges. Exhibitors demonstrate solutions and services to meet the military services' requirements. TechNet Indo-Pacific is co-sponsored by AFCEA International and AFCEA Hawaii.
