About Us
Founded in 2009, GovEvents is the premiere online resource for government events. GovEvents was created as a service to the government community so that government users, vendors, and event producers can go to one place on the web to find and post government-related events. The site provides in-depth information on hundreds of events, from major industry tradeshows, to government conferences, to agency-sponsored roundtables, and webcasts. GovEvents obtains its event information from multiple sources, combining targeted search capabilities, human collection, RSS feeds, and government user feedback on events they find relevant.
Access to GovEvents is free of charge for all government users, event organizers and vendors/exhibitors.
GovEvents allows Government Users to:
- Search events using a wide variety of search filters
- Save their searches and receive email notifications when new shows matching their criteria are posted
- Add events to “My Favorites” so they can easily find them again
- Share events with their friends and colleagues
GovEvents allows Event Organizers to:
- Post all of their event information, including on-demand webcasts
- Host attendee registration on the GovEvents site or link directly to organizer site
- Host exhibitor registration on the GovEvents site or link directly to organizer site
- See what other events are happening on and around their event dates
GovEvents allows Vendors/Exhibitors to:
- Search for events that they may want to participate in as an exhibitor
- Save their searches and receive email notifications when new shows matching their criteria are posted
- Add their own government related events
Kerry Rea, President of GovEvents, has many years of experience working in the government marketplace. In that time, she found herself and colleagues continually frustrated with the time-intensive process of searching for relevant events to attend, exhibit, and sponsor. GovEvents was created as a result and now provides one location that aggregates government event information for easy searching and browsing.
