Alternative Funding for Transport Infrastructure

Meeting future needs & generating return on investment

A national focus on increasing investment in major infrastructure is driving innovative solutions to previous transport infrastructure challenges such as patronage risk, forecasting, public private partnerships and demonstrating value for money.

The conference will examine major infrastructure projects from across the country. Case studies will include past, present and future projects such as WestConnex, East West Link and the M1- M2 link. Presentations will look at the role of private infrastructure developers and strategies for funding major infrastructure projects. Emphasis will be placed on alternative sustainable models of funding.

This conference will address:

- Best approaches for balancing cost and revenue
- Strategic planning to manage forecasting uncertainty
- Optimising user pay models
- Identifying new and innovative financing structures

'We must be focussed on delivering critical infrastructure, ensuring we are getting value-for money for our investments and be dedicated to embracing and increasing innovation in project delivery.'
