SANS Secure Thailand 2014

Join us in Bangkok for two of SANS most-taken courses. The focus of SEC401 is to teach individuals the essential skills and techniques needed to protect and secure an organization's critical information assets and business systems. We also understand that security is a journey and not a destination. Therefore we will teach you how to build a security roadmap that can scale today and into the future. When you leave our training we promise that you will be given techniques that you can implement today and tomorrow to keep your organization at the cutting edge of cyber security. Most importantly, your organization will be secure. SEC504 is a challenging course particularly well-suited to individuals who lead or are a part of an incident handling team. Furthermore, general security practitioners, system administrators, and security architects will benefit by understanding how to design, build, and operate their systems to prevent, detect, and respond to attacks. Plan to attend and learn more below.

SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style

Read why this course was created from course author, Dr. Eric Cole: One of the things I love to hear from students after teaching Security 401 is, "I have worked in security for many years and after taking this course I realized how much I did not know." With the latest version of Security Essentials and the Bootcamp, we have really captured the critical aspects of security and enhanced those topics with examples to drive home the key points. After attending Security 401, I am confident you will walk away with solutions to problems you have had for a while plus solutions to problems you did not even know you had. - Eric Cole

"When I thought I got a good hand on security, SEC401 was an eye opener to discover how much more I need to know!" - Solomon Garcia, DoD

"Security Essentials Bootcamp Style gave me a solid foundation in security and greatly increased my awareness of potential threats." - Kristen Rollins, Greenleaf Trust

SEC504: Hacker Techniques, Exploits & Incident Handling

Read what course author Ed Skoudis says about SEC504: My favorite part of teaching Hacker Techniques, Exploits, and Incident Handling is watching students when they finally get it. It's usually a two-stage process. First, students begin to realize how truly malicious some of these attacks are. Some students have a very visceral reaction, occasionally shouting out "Oh, shoot!" when they see what the bad guys are really up to. But if I stopped the process at that point, I'd be doing a disservice. The second stage is even more fun. Later in the class, students gradually realize that, even though the attacks are really nasty, they can prevent, detect, and respond to them. Using the knowledge they gain in this track, they know they'll be ready when a bad guy launches an attack against their systems. And being ready to thwart the bad guys is what it's all about. - Ed Skoudis

"Information security is hard. Make it easier by attending SEC504!" - Daniel Eddy, ADM

"This knowledge is indispensable, utterly necessary, and relevant to every industry." - Paul Ryan, GDIT
