ACT-IAC Small Business Conference 2014

In a time when information technology and a mobile society have captivated our personal and business environments, it is not unusual to find small businesses at the brink of creative innovations.  The 8th Annual Small Business Conference will capture that innovative spirit, making the Connection a reality; continuing as a platform for Collaboration, where we are working to achieve a common goal; and institutionalize a level of Commitment to the growth and development of small business. The theme of the conference continues to evolve around the concepts of creating an environment where small businesses can Connect, Collaborate and Commit.

Keynote address will be given by the GSA Administrator, Dan Tangherlini.

This event will offer:

  • 3rd Annual Smackdown: Open dialogue and real discussions focused on creating practical solutions and optimizing existing roles/relationships with government entities

  • Breakout Sessions: These conversations will be focused on Strategic Sourcing; Risk Management in the Federal Contracting Environment; Detailed and specific conversations around issues that impact Small Businesses in doing business with government; Small Business successes and realities

  • Federal Workshops: The opportunity for enhancing relationships between government and industry through small intimate settings

For the first time in the Small Business Conference history, two Small Business Advocacy Awards will be given to one individual in industry and one individual in government recognizining their contributions in promoting the growth and development of small businesses.

This one-day education and training event will provide a forum for small business and small business advocates in government.  Amid a cost-cutting environment, government and industry will have the opportunity to share knowledge and best practices on maximizing gain for both sides.
