Peterson AFB

The Peterson Air Force Base Exposition is a one-day event held on-site, where industry vendors will have the opportunity to display their products and services to personnel on base that may otherwise be unattainable. This products and services expo will be one of two expos held at Peterson Air Force Base in 2009, making this an excellent opportunity to meet with IT personnel from various commands at Peterson. The host for this expo will be the 21st Space Communications Squadron. The mission of the 21st Space Communications Squadron is to provide quality communication systems and services to the 21st SW and its units worldwide. This includes equipping, administering, training and providing personnel to operate and maintain ground communications, electronics and computer systems and facilities in support of North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Northern Command, Air Force Space Command, Army Space Command, the 21st Space Wing and many other Peterson Complex units. The host wing at Peterson AFB is the 21st Space Wing. The 21st Space Wing provides missile warning and space control to North American Aerospace Defense Command and U.S. Strategic Command through a network of command and control units and ground and space-based sensors operated by geographically separated units around the world. Air Force Space Command (AFSPC) is a major command headquartered at Peterson AFB. AFSPC defends North America through its space and intercontinental ballistic missile operations. Peterson AFB is also home to the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), Army Space Command, United States Army Space and Missile Defense Command (SMDC) and the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing (302 AW). All these major units will receive invitations to attend this expo.
