This webinar is specially designed to provide an overview of an important segment of the  Importing and Exporting process and provide personnel in your Export Control organization, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Purchasing and Receiving Departments with the basics required to fully understand and then implement an effective classification strategy.

Marc Binder is a licensed Customs Broker and has served as the Corporate Director of Customs Compliance for two major US Aerospace and Defense Contractors. Combining this with his strong logistics background, Marc has provided Import and Export training to companies throughout the world and has assisted numerous companies develop their import and export strategies. In this webinar, he will use his expertise to provide you and your team with the basics of Importing products into the U.S. In this second in a series of Webinars geared to specific issues related to Importing (and exporting), Marc will provide an overview of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the US and how it intersects with the Schedule B and how to properly determine the appropriate classification. He will highlight key areas of the Foreign Trade Regulations, Customs Regulations, HTSUS, and the Schedule B and provide a foundation on how they are utilized and how they intersect.

A basic understanding of the classification process in the HTS and the Schedule B will allow you to determine the correct classification for you import and export documentation.

The HTS/Schedule B Webinar will provide PowerPoint slides and notes, and include live video and commentary from Marc Binder who has been working in the Trade Compliance industry for over 30 years. Webinar participants are invited to submit questions during the webinar, the final 30 minutes of the webinar will be allotted to answering attendees' questions.
