PCV 2010

The ISPRS Commission III symposium on Photogrammetric Computer Vision and Image Analysis will be host in Paris, France between September 1-3, 2010.

PCV will have technical sessions that will cover all the topics of the six Working Groups and Inter-commission Working Groups during these three days.

PCV is a selective single-track conference covering all the aspects of computer vision and image analysis dealing with geomatics data (or geographics data).

It concerns:

  • essentially optical images and 3D point clouds, acquired from satellite, aerial or street level acquisition systems.
  • data which are all acquired with the perspective of generating accurate and robust 3D models, digital maps and data bases, for 3D mapping or geographical multimedia applications or applications needing "maps of the environment" as an input such as robotics and autonomous navigation.

High quality previously unpublished research contributions are sought on any aspect of these topics of interest. These topics of interest include all aspects of photogrammetric computer vision and image analysis including, but not limited to:

  • Camera calibration and camera network calibration from images or image sequences
  • Sensor Pose Estimation from images and/or range data
  • Image matching and registration
  • Surface reconstruction from images and/or range data
  • Image sequence analysis
  • 3D point cloud processing
  • Analysis of full-waveform laserscanning data
  • Laserscanning vs. 3D imaging sensing
  • Registration of point clouds or surfaces
  • Comparing points clouds or/and surfaces
  • Segmentation and Classification of images and/or range data
  • Scene analysis of from images and/or range data
  • Image Indexation and image retrieval
  • Image analysis for image indexation and image retrieval
  • Integration of 3D information and spatial relations in image indexation and image retrieval
  • Man-made Object extraction and 3D reconstruction
  • Object Extraction for City Models, Roads Models and Traffic Monitoring
  • 2D and 3D Change detection and updating
  • SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping)
  • Self-diagnosis and confidence measures
  • Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking

The 2010 Symposium will have special sessions to cover all these topics and all of the ISPRS Technical Commision III Working Groups as well as the Intercommission Working Group.
