Ice Rescue Operations & Training Meeting

The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA), in partnership with the U.S. Coast Guard, will host the 2015 Biennial International Ice Rescue Operations & Training Meeting from February 26-27, 2015 in Bay City, Michigan. This meeting will serve as a forum to share "best practices" in ice rescue techniques and equipment used by federal, state and local first responders and as a medium to generate a national discussion and networking to reduce risk and save lives. Interactive sessions and demonstrations will significantly enhance first responders' understanding and preparation for the effects of cold water on victims, rescuers, and equipment. Participation is limited, so agencies are encouraged to make reservations as soon as possible. We will also be offering an ice rescuer course from February 23-25 at the Coast Guard National Ice Rescue School.
