Obesity Prevention and Control in Worksite Settings

George Washington University’s Office of the Vice President of Research and ICF International will cohost a panel at the Milken Institute School of Public Health Auditorium to discuss strategies for obesity prevention and control in worksites.

Panelists will discuss:

The impact of worksite initiatives to prevent and control obesity, including the recommendations of the Institute of Medicine and the Task Force on Community Preventive Services
The research that addresses the economic and health benefit of worksite initiatives, including examples of the implementation of such initiatives in mid- to large-sized businesses
Ways to improve the effectiveness of worksite interventions to prevent and control obesity
