2015 National Conference of Regions

Join the National Association of Regional Councils for the 2015 National Conference of Regions in Washington, D.C. This conference is a forum for locally-elected officials and their Regional Councils to explore federal policy issues, and discuss NARC’s legislative priorities for the 114th Congress. Topics covered at the Conference will include the reauthorization of transportation legislation, water quality issues, the implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and the current federal and local fiscal picture, among other policy issues that affect the success of Regional Councils.

Last summer, the Washington Area Metropolitan Transit Authority (WMATA) launched the new Silver Line, the largest expansion of the region’s rail system in more than two decades. Today five new stations operate along 11.7-miles of rail connecting Tyson’s Corner and Reston to the rest of the region. Join your colleagues and Washington area officials for a guided tour of the Silver Line with a stop at Tyson’s Corner shopping mall. There is a nominal charge for this tour. Please sign-up when you register for the conference. Space is limited.
