Air Transportation Information Exchange Conference
The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), in partnership with the European Organization for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL), will host the 2015 Air Transportation Information Exchange Conference (ATIEC) on August 25-27, 2015 at the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Auditorium and Science Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. Exhibits will be a highlght on August 26th - 27th.
This year’s conference will focus on the overarching theme of “Managing Global Information and Services”. There are six underlying themes this year: Governance & Standardization, Services, Infrastructure (including Technology and Tooling), Information, Forward Vision, and Awareness. These themes are based on the work areas established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), Information Management Panel in Montreal this past January.
Following the tradition of prior conferences, speakers from the international ATM community will be making major announcements regarding System-Wide Information Management (SWIM) and new versions and future evolutions of the now well-known exchange models:
•Aeronautical Information Exchange Model (AIXM)
•Weather Information Exchange Model (WXXM)
•Flight Information Exchange Model (FIXM)
