2015 Virginia Emergency Management Symposium

The Virginia Emergency Management Association (VEMA) is a statewide organization that promotes and supports the twin goals of saving lives and protecting property during times of emergencies and disasters in Virginia. The Virginia Emergency Management Symposium, co-sponsored by the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, is an event that allows for emergency managers at all levels of government, and the private sector, to come together to learn about emergency management trends, best practices, lessons learned, meet new people, and reconnect with old friends.

We invite emergency management practitioners, students, and private sector representatives to contribute to the workshop on practical and theoretical aspects of emergency management, as it relates to events over the past few years.
