ComDef Priorities and Requirements Conference 2015

Building on the successful ComDef 2014, where 35 nations participated with the United States in a lively and informative presentation and Q&A format, ComDef returns to Washington, DC in the Springtime to provide further insight, discussions and networking for government, military, academia and industry with a more strategic emphasis. The goals for the upcoming ComDef are as follows:-

  • Understand how US DoD Policy is generated and implications for each Service.
  • What are the key drivers and external factors for developing the policy?
  • How are policy precepts driven to the budget?
  • If commercial technology R&D now outspends defense R&D, how will defense procurement barriers to entry be addressed?
  • Is the industrial base now global and what are the implications?
  • What are the government initiatives to aid exporting?
  • Network with colleagues with shared concerns
