Purpose

A discussion with two senior DoD leaders of the changing IT policy towards adoption of Agile, and the challenges of applying EVM to acquisitions that are now employing Agile methods.

DoD is recognizing the need, spurred on by budget reductions and sequestration impacts, to accelerate adoption of acquisition methods that lower cost. With the added benefit of improving quality, Agile methods seem to be gaining much more acceptance in DoD acquisition community.
