Potomac Forum Executive Breakfast for Government Series: Management of Government Technology Annual Summit 2015

Overview:

“Big Data” is the current trending technology in government and industry.  But “Big Data” should be focused in meeting mission needs in government – not an end in itself as data can be expensive to collect and to verify. Data analytics is the discipline of examining raw data to draw conclusions about that information. When focused on specific areas such as Medicare/Medicaid, Immigration, Student Loans or other areas of Fraud or cyber security intrusions these analyses can help organizations to better tune their existing efforts to combat waste fraud and abuse (FWA).  Key to effectively applying these in your organization is developing what is referred to as a data centric or data driven mindset focused on organizational mission.
