7 Common Mistakes Agencies Make in the EEO Process - And How to Avoid Them

When it comes to the EEO process and staying compliant, good intentions are not always enough. Even when you think you’ve done everything right, you may still face a complaint under EEOC regulations.

On May 18, Joel Kravetz, a Civil Rights Program Manager and former EEOC AJ, will provide you with the tools necessary to avoid making the mistakes many agencies make in the process.  Mr. Kravetz will help you examine strategies you can use to:

  • Efficiently identify where you are making mistakes in the EEO process

  • Properly frame EEO complaints so your dismissal decisions won’t get reversed on appeal

  • Address key areas where you can improve your processing of EEO complaints

  • Confidently request medical information when it is appropriate to do so

  • Advise managers about fulfilling their duties with regard to EEO law

  • Identify EEOC requirements and develop an action plan to avoid sanctions
