More Bang for Your Buck: Cost Effective Planning for Pipe Renewal Webinar

Traditional pipe renewal strategies often involve desktop studies based on pipe age, break frequency, maintenance history, or water quality issues.  Recent advances in condition-assessment technologies and analytical software now offer better data upon which renewal strategies can be developed using actual pipe condition information.

This webinar will examine innovative renewal strategies that employ technologies that provide more accurate condition assessments, joint to joint.  A discussion of new pipe-condition assessment tools and software will be included, along with case studies that demonstrate how the tools are used in developing improved pipe renewal programs.

Capital expenditures for pipeline replacement can be optimized by using new technologies and methods that allow replacement strategies to be based on actual condition-assessment data instead of pipe age or wholesale replacement of sections of a network.

Pipe replacement plans are often plagued by limited capital budgets and inefficient spending predicated on pipe age or break frequency.  Viewers will be presented with an approach that will stretch or optimize their capital expenditures for pipeline renewal.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learn about new pipe condition assessment technologies
  2. Create an approach to pipe renewal based on actual condition-assessment data
  3. Develop a more efficient pipe renewal strategy
  4. Apply lessons learned from other utilities’ experiences
