CyberMaryland 2016

Maryland is recognized as a cybersecurity leader - nationally and internationally. The state has developed cybersecurity experts, education and training programs, technology, products, systems and infrastructure. With over 10 million cyber hacks a day resulting in an annual worldwide cost of over $100 billion, the United States is at risk.

Last year alone, tens of millions of Americans had their identities and their bank accounts threatened or compromised. Ensuring that our nation has the workforce, technology and resources to protect our citizens, businesses, infrastructure, intellectual property and more is of paramount importance. Maryland continues to be a leader on this front.

The CyberMaryland Conference is an annual two-day event presented jointly by The National Cyber Security Hall of Fame and Federal Business Council (FBC) in conjunction with academia, government and private industry organizations. The theme, “Leading the Cyber Generation,” captures the event’s intent to provide unparalleled information sharing and networking opportunities for development of cyber assets on both the human and technological side. Additionally, the conference provides an opportunity for Maryland to demonstrate its natural leadership in Cyber Security.

The CyberMaryland Conference includes thought leaders from Maryland’s Cyber Security sector and also features nationally recognized speakers and panelists on cyber and technology innovations. Sessions cover the most up-to-date information from thought leaders in all facets of the cyber ecosystem.

The National Cyber Security Hall of Fame inducts a new class of industry pioneers each year. The Cyber Security Hall of Fame is held on the final evening of the conference and provides an opportunity for the cyber community to honor those who provided a foundation for others to build on, or otherwise paved the way for future successes.

The Maryland Cyber Job Fair features nearly 30 employers seeking cleared and non-cleared cyber professionals. Complimentary resume reviews are offered during the event and there is no charge for job seekers to attend.

The Cyber Maryland Industry Showcase provides a full array of today’s top Cyber Security companies, prime contractors, small businesses, financial organizations, and educational institutions showcasing their products, services, and/or organizations.

For the past 40 years, the Federal Business Council has produced thousands of symposiums, expositions, training forums, and conferences, both on-site and off, for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and civilian agencies. 2016 stands to improve upon our schedule, with over 100 events planned.
