Necessary documents to bring:

  • Green Card and passport (expired and/or unexpired)
  • Your most recent Federal tax return Marriage certificate and/or divorce papers (if applicable)
  • Certified court dispositions and/or Metropolitan Transportation Authority disposition letters (if applicable)
  • Benefit card(s), e.g., Medicaid, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as "food stamps"), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or a letter from the agency as proof, since you may be eligible for a fee waiver
  • An original copy of Form N-648 (Medical Certification for Disability Exceptions), completed less than six months ago by a licensed medical or osteopathic doctor or a licensed clinical psychologist An original copy of Form N-426 (Request for Certification of Military or Naval Service). Persons who are serving or have served under specified conditions in the United States Armed Forces are granted certain exemptions from the general requirements of naturalization. (Note: If you are applying for naturalization based on your own service in the military, no filling fee is required)
  • If you are 75 or older, do not send the biometric services for fingerprinting with your application

Biometric fee: $ 85

Total: $680


There is a $680 fee for your application only. Pay the fee with a check or money order drawn on a United States bank, made payable to the: United States Department of Homeland Security. Do not use the initials DHS or USDHS. Cash is not permitted.
