Speaker and Presenter Information
Wendy Wagner-Smith is a senior plain language trainer for Plain Language Action and Information Network (PLAIN). She has served as the federal training coordinator for the group since 2012. Wendy has been teaching plain language since late 2007, and she has taught at nearly 40 federal agencies and offices. Along the way, she has coached hundreds of writers to help them write clearly and concisely. She currently is a senior writer-editor for the Office of Financial Research, an agency of the U.S. Department of the Treasury. Wendy also is the NAGC marketing director. She has a bachelor’s from the University of Virginia and has done post graduate coursework at the Harvard Extension School.
