The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123, Management's Responsibility for Enterprise Risk Management and Internal Control was recently revised on July 15, 2016. Besides replacing the title, Management’s Responsibility for Internal Control the Circular requires integration of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) into the internal control framework, requires agencies to implement ERM capabilities and engages all agency management, not just the Chief Financial Officer community.
This workshop is designed for the managers or executives in the offices which perform many of the core programmatic and operational components of an organization to hear about the new requirements of ERM within A-123 and what that means for their day to day functions.
Participants will also gain an understanding of the requirements of the updated Circular including key dates for the initial risk profile (June 2, 2017), Integration with Management Evaluation of Internal Control (September 15, 2017) and ERM implementation (as soon as possible).
Everyone has risks! Come listen to your peers in programmatic and operational components discuss what they are doing around ERM and risk management.
