4th Annual NextGen Avionics Summit

Advancing Military and Commercial Flight!

The long-term vision of program managers for Defense and Commercial aircraft is to have optimum aircraft avionics that provide the most efficient and safe means of accomplishing flight priorities and objectives. There is a need in the market to know what latest technological advancements and actionable information is being pursued. These avionics systems must be produced in the most cost-effective manner so they can implement these advanced systems on the aircraft platforms in a timely manner.

Due to current priorities to bring our country's infrastructure up to date, NextGen Avionics places industry in a unique position to receive a wide variety of contracts. Both Military and Commercial entities can save on expenditures by reducing flight times, increasing pilot visibility, cockpit integration, and implementing open architecture systems that drastically reduce upgrade and maintenance costs.

IDGA’s Fourth Annual NextGen Avionics Summit will provide the most up-to-date news on the latest aircraft, both fixed and rotary wing, advancements in technologies and the lessons learned from recent upgrades and avionics enhancements. This event will take a closer look at what the Armed Services’ and Commercial strategies are for upgrading the antiquated inventory of aircraft during an economically challenging time. These acquisition decisions are being made as well as the strategic direction of how these technologies affect the focus for industry vendors.

This conference will provide unique insight into the following areas:

  • NextGen Technology and the continued roadmap ahead
  • To-date efforts and lessons learned during the current upgrade of the fleet across the services
  • Advances and advantages of viable upgrade technology in order to increase Situational Awareness within non-optimum environments
  • Initiatives to increase safety concerns in a fluid, congested environment
  • Goals and prospects for implementing upgraded systems in legacy systems
  • Implementing a common avionics suite to facilitate further interoperability and advanced joint capabilities
