Judge Andrew Peck
U.S. Magistrate Judge, Southern District of New York

Magistrate Judge Andrew J. Peck was appointed United States Magistrate Judge for the Southern District of New York on February 27, 1995, and served as Chief Magistrate Judge in 2004-2005. Judge Peck is co-chair of the S.D.N.Y.-E.D.N.Y. Local Rules Committee, and a member of the Second Circuit Federal-State Judicial Council.

Judge Peck is a frequent lecturer on issues relating to electronic discovery and is a member of the Sedona Conference and the Sedona Conference Judicial Advisory Board. Judge Peck also is a judicial observer to the Legal Tech Educational Advisory Board (2015 to present). He was awarded the Champion of Technology Award for 2011 by Law Technology News, the 2013 Judicial Leadership Award by the Electronic Discovery Institute ("EDI"), and honored by the American Lawyer as a Judicial EDiscovery Innovator (in Top 50 Innovators of the Last 50 Years).

Mr. Ovie Carroll

Director, DOJ Cybercrime Lab (CCIPS), Cybercrime Lab U.S. Department of Justice Computer Crime and Intellectual Property Section

The Cybercrime lab provides advanced computer forensics, cybercrime investigative and other technical support to DOJ prosecutors as it applies to implementing the Department's national strategies in digital evidence, combating electronic penetrations, data thefts, and cyber attacks on critical information systems.

Mr. Carroll is also an adjunct professor at George Washington University, teaching two classes, Cyber Crime/Internet Investigations and Interview and Interrogation, in the Masters of Forensic Science program. Mr. Carroll is also a course author and instructor with the SANS Institute where he teaches Digital Forensics.

Mr. Matt Coatney
Vice President of Services, Exaptive

Matt Coatney is a technology executive, business advisor, entrepreneur, author and speaker. His focus is bringing advanced technologies to market in the fields of Artificial Intelligence and analytics. He has co-founded three companies and advised several others, been an early-stage employee of two successful tech startups, and launched data analytics products for life sciences, healthcare, government, finance and law. He currently is the VP of Services for Exaptive. He previously led IT strategy for global law firm WilmerHale and led technology and operations for a legal search product at LexisNexis.

Matt writes and speaks frequently on business and advanced technologies, and his work has appeared in a TEDx talk, international conferences, webinars, books, and technical journals. He obtained his MS in Computer Science and BS in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University. He is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) including AI, bioinformatics, and knowledge discovery special interest groups.

Mr. Chris Dale
eDisclosure Information Project

Chris Dale qualified as an English solicitor in 1980 after reading History at Oxford. He was a litigation partner in London and then a litigation software developer and litigation support consultant before turning to commentary on electronic disclosure / discovery. He runs the e-Disclosure Information Project which disseminates information about the court rules, the problems, and the technology to lawyers and their clients, to judges, and to suppliers. He was a member of Senior Master Whitaker's Working Party which drafted Practice Direction 31B and the Electronic Documents Questionnaire. He writes an authoritative and objective web site and blog on the subject and is a well-known speaker and commentator in the UK, the US and other common law jurisdictions.
