Drills and Exercise Planning and Development

(DEP) Drills & Exercise Planning and Development – Geared for those who must evaluate training plans, drills and other operational factors during extreme conditions.  For three days, a series of table-top and field evaluations are designed by the students and tested.  Students are exposed to armed forces style combat training type stress.  Upon completion students will be able to design, development and conduct “live, virtual and constructive (LVC)“ drills and exercises that include “best practices” from a security perspective within the emergency management  industry and conform to government regulations (where applicable).  Student will also use the Simulated Crisis Management and Response Tool (SCMaRT) which allows them to construct their home-environment in a virtual reality and train against "low probablity- high risk" events without taking funds away for resources dedicated to planning for events that are likely to occur.
