Senior Leader Program (Classroom)
The Senior Leader Program is designed for senior managers in the federal government and comparable level military, state and local officials who wish to enhance their leadership potential or who are interested in preparing for the Senior Executive Service. The curriculum is based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management’s Executive Core Qualifications and meets OPM’s requirement that participants in agency-specific candidate development programs have an 80-hour interagency training experience.
The Senior Leader Program balances theory and practical exercises to help you develop a leadership philosophy for meeting the real-world challenges you face. Our faculty will guide you through cutting-edge public and private sector best practices to help you broaden the skills, knowledge, and personal qualities vital to effective executive leadership.
To complete the program’s required 80 hours of class time, participants meet two days a week for five weeks. The classroom-based formats culminate in a strategic leadership simulation while the residential format incorporates a day-long leadership activity.
