Government contracting can be a potentially lucrative endeavor for women-owned businesses. In fact, the government has a goal to award at least 5% of all federal contracts to women-owned small companies. This goal was met in FY15 for the first time in history, however the government fell short in FY16, awarding just 4.79%.

To help women-owned businesses get a leg up, the Give Me 5 webinar series is hosting a free webinar on Oct. 10 that will share best practices for prime, subcontract and teaming opportunities. The webinar will utilize case studies to examine mistakes, challenges, and hurdles small businesses may face in growing their business.
