Aircraft Survivability Symposium 2018

Enhancing survivability across a multi-domain battlespace is the focus of the 2018 Aircraft Survivability Symposium, an annual event bringing together senior level government and industry representatives, the armed services, and academia to discuss survivability technologies, sustainment and operations, threats and counter measures in a classified environment. The symposium begins with an optional day of tutorials (separate fee required) that go in-depth on specific topics, followed by two days of keynotes, technical briefs and poster presentations. With extended breaks, lunches and a networking reception, the symposium is specifically structured to facilitate relaxed dialogue and continuous networking opportunities among attendees. The symposium is classified as SECRET/U.S. ONLY.

Symposium agenda overview:

  • Tuesday, November 6, 2018: (OPTIONAL DAY) Tutorial sessions (separate fee required)
  • Wednesday, November 7 - Thursday, November 8, 2018: Keynote addresses from industry and government leaders, followed by technical presentation sessions on key topic areas (abstracts for technical briefs and posters now being accepted

NDIA’s Combat Survivability Division (CSD) will recognize individual technical and leadership achievements in a formal awards ceremony on the third day.

Using the Naval Postgraduate School as our venue and co-sponsor provides attendees with the unique experience of interacting with researchers, industry and government decision makers, and warfighters on a classified campus to discuss what is needed for the fight today and plan for the survivability challenges of tomorrow.
