58th Kimbrough Seminar

The Kimbrough will be here before we know it, and you won’t want to miss it. We have a spectacular speaker line-up that promises to bring everyone up to speed with lectures and debates from a lot of the luminaries in our field. Social activities include a dinner at the Seattle Aquarium and bus tours that are available to travel to several savory Northwest destinations. The banquet dinner will be accented with a talk from Dr. Richard Jadick, who authored “On Call in Hell.”

We have two firsts for this year’s Kimbrough. The AUA Ultrasound Course will be available to those on a first come, first serve basis thanks to the hard work of Dr. Karen Baker, and we will have a moderated leadership roundtable that will be a lunchtime discussion on the subject of career development. Pre-registration is required for both.

The deadline for the hotel room discounted rate is December 20, 2010. Might as well go ahead and send in your annual SGSU dues to get that out of the way at the same time.

We’ll see you at the Kimbrough!

Overview
Topics featured at the Kimbrough Seminar will represent state-of-the-art developments in urology. Issues will be addressed by national experts in laparoscopy, endourology, stone disease, reconstructive/trauma surgery, pediatrics, general urology and oncology. Participants will learn new diagnostic protocols, management strategies and treatment options. These new developments will help government urologists maintain competency in a rapidly evolving field.

In addition, a resident competition and mock oral boards for those preparing to face Part II of the American Board of Urology certifying examination.

This conference is intended primarily for any urologist who presently serves or has served the federal government in any capacity as a urologist, including consultants and residents. The meeting focuses on disease states and injuries prevalent in the active duty and veteran populations, and serves as a venue for government service urologists to share information pertinent to urologic practice in the battlefield.
