There is a need to address wider issues and challenges so the event has been expanded to place AEW and Battle Management within the wider context of the network and look at those key ‘touchpoints’ with other assets:

  • Interaction with Air Support Operations Centers (ASOCs) and Combined Air Operations Centres (CAOCs)
    – including recent ISAF ops experience
  • Datalink interoperability challenges
  • Integration with C4ISTAR platforms

Beyond these key areas, the conference will also look at:

  • Operational feedback and lessons learned
  • The expanding role of AEW platforms
  • Future requirements – including presentations from well-established and new AEW nations
  • Future technology leverage – AIS, CHAT and UAV control
  • The implications for training of all, both now and in the future
