MARS Classified Industry Day Washington, DC

Overview: The Machine-assisted Analytic Rapid-repository System (MARS) Program Management Office will host a classified Industry Day at the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) headquarters, Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Washington, DC. The Event will start with an introduction from DIA Director, LTG Robert P. Ashley, Jr., and provide industry with an overview of the program, vision for MARS, and an opportunity to ask questions. The Department of Defense is transforming its "modernized integrated database" (MIDB) which is based on 1990's technology and can no longer meet the scale of 21st century information demands. The potential acquisition intends to transform the existing MIDB (a traditional relational database management system and other associated systems) into a data environment at multiple orders-of-magnitude larger scale and transactional throughput. The Government envisions using extensive automation and advanced analytic techniques across a broad range of data, information, and knowledge to provide efficiency and scale for both producers and clients in the future joint force.

The Washington, DC Industry Day (DC Industry Day) will be held at the SECRET//REL TO USA,FVEY classification level. Companies will be limited to a maximum of two (2) registrants.
