SOC Modernization Using the Apache Kafka Backplane

SOC (Security Operations Center) modernization is complex, incremental, and extremely urgent. The threat landscape has embraced agile methods of developing and can rapidly evolve their threat vectors through automation and scale. Components, organizations, and operations must be just as agile and operate as a single, unified platform to protect both internal and external surfaces.

Legacy systems are expensive, exhausted, and many vendor-locked silos remain prevalent. However, these systems must continue to operate while new technologies are brought online and seamlessly integrate into the old, while enabling modernization.

Apache Kafka is an ideal event/signal processing backplane for incremental modernization. It is also a streaming database reimagined, enabling a set of real-time use cases designed to respond at-scale to an agile enemy.

This webinar will give an overview of how Apache Kafka can be used as the backplane for modernization.
