Americas Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) of 2018 including Risk Assessments & Cybersecurity Webinar

Recently passed legislation has new Risk and Resilience requirements for utilities that must be met as soon as March 2020. Other provisions of the legislation will also impact reporting requirements for utilities. To help utilities understand the requirements of this new legislation, AWWA and the Texas Section AWWA will present a one-hour webinar on December 14, 2018, from 11:30 am-12:30 pm Central Time.

Join Kevin Morley, Manager of Federal Relations with AWWA, and Texas AWWA Executive Director Mike Howe as they review the highlights and deadlines of the recently enacted America’s Water Infrastructure Act (AWIA) of 2018. This new legislation includes several provisions designed to support an all-hazards approach to risk and resilience management in the water sector. This is based on modifications to the requirements placed on community water systems serving more than 3,300 under the Bioterrorism Act of 2002. In addition, AWIA includes several provisions to enhance source water protection. Learn more about more about key elements of AWIA’s risk and resilience provisions, including approaches to support compliance and associated deadlines during this important webcast.

Advance registration is required for each individual. The program is only available via a web link that will be provided to registrants before the webinar.

The fee is $25 per person (you do not have to be a member of Texas AWWA to register).
